Stuck, overwhelmed or procrastinating?
Struggling to study in France even though you know you’re capable?
Counselling provides a confidential space to reflect and move forward.
These struggles are rarely simply a problem of motivation or discipline. Often, something less obvious is getting in the way — patterns of anxiety, pressure or self-doubt that make it difficult to engage, even when you want to. Many expats in France find themselves grappling with cultural adjustment, language barriers, loneliness or a loss of familiar support networks.
Counselling: A confidential, reflective space to think, feel and grow.
I offer a private, confidential online space to help you understand what’s getting in the way of your studies — whether it's anxiety, pressure, self-doubt or something less obvious — and to begin shifting those patterns so you can engage with your work more consistently.
In other words, my work often focuses on focus on the emotional and psychological barriers that interfere with learning.
If this resonates with you and you would like to arrange an initial session or to ask a question about counselling, you are welcome to get in touch by email. I aim to respond within two working days at the most.
I am a qualified psychodynamic therapist with an MSc from the University of London, with a background in teaching, tutoring and academia.I offer counselling in English or French (or both).
My practice follows the UK psychodynamic counselling tradition.
It is independent of the French public healthcare system.
I am not a psychologue or psychiatre, and I
do not offer diagnostic or medical treatment.
I also work with pupils in international schools experiencing academic stress, anxiety or difficulties engaging with their studies.
I provide a confidential space where children and adolescents can explore the feelings, worries and experiences that may be affecting their learning, behaviour or relationships.

I am based in the south of France and work with clients across France and internationally. Sessions take place online, allowing you to access therapy from wherever you are based.
This can be particularly helpful if you move between locations, have a changing schedule, or prefer the privacy of working from home.
